Our Commitment to Accessibility

Community Leasing is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to achieve these goals.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Community Leasing strives to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content may not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address these areas.

Measures Taken

We take the following measures to ensure accessibility of our website:

  • Include accessibility as part of our development process.
  • Provide ongoing accessibility training for our development team.
  • Use semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks to support assistive technologies.
  • Ensure sufficient color contrast and readable font sizes across all pages.
  • Provide descriptive alt text for images and labels for interactive elements.
  • Support keyboard navigation for interactive components including carousels.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations:

  • Third-party embedded content: Some embedded content (e.g., Calendly scheduling widget, Google Maps) is provided by third parties and may not fully conform to our accessibility standards. We encourage these providers to improve their accessibility.
  • Video content: Background video on the homepage is decorative in nature. A text description of the video content is provided as fallback. Full transcripts for informational videos are available upon request.
  • Older imagery: Some legacy images may carry non-descriptive alt text. We are actively updating these to meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
